They are currently ranked 12th and have some progress to make before they can qualify for the postseason. The team is 1.5 games behind the LA Clippers, ranked 6th. With this, the Lakers still have a chance to secure a guaranteed spot in the playoffs. They would not want to repeat the last year when they missed the playoffs. The fifth consecutive win would give the team immense confidence for future games.

In the meantime, Russell Westbrook recently invited trouble with his superstar teammate LeBron James. The 34-year-old point guard has been a great addition to the team this year. But he had a flop season last year when LA signed him over Kurt Kuzma. However, ever since the eight-time All-star has accommodated himself to the head coach Ham’s instruction, he became a hit. His off-the-bench contributions have become crucial and integral to the team’s success. Regardless, NBA fans busted him on social media for his comments after the Sacramento Kings’ game.
