The 2024 WDC title is secured by Max Verstappen, with two more rounds still left. Despite a tricky outing in Las Vegas, the Dutchman scored ample points to end Lando Norris’s world title dream, clinching his fourth consecutive trophy. Unlike the last two victories, this one was not as straightforward as the Red Bull team, which was smeared with technical issues, internal turmoil, and controversies. Regardless of the peculiar situation, the 26-year-old racer showcased mastery on-track and etched his name in the history books.

After a remarkable fourth-title triumph, Verstappen re-sparked the rivalry with Lewi Hamilton. Mercedes team finished the Las Vegas GP with a 1-2 on the podium. This sudden upsurge shocked everyone, including the Silver Arrows, as the team was not expecting an astonishing outcome. However, amid this victory, Verstappen has highlighted the struggles of the German Marque in the last couple of seasons.

Max Verstappen has solidified his place among Formula 1’s greatest by clinching his fourth consecutive world title, joining an elite group of champions. His triumph was particularly satisfying as he outperformed his key rival, Lando Norris, who had consistently challenged him throughout the season. While Verstappen’s dominance was evident early on, the latter half of the season proved more challenging for Red Bull. The team managed only one win as McLaren and Ferrari closed the gap in the Constructors’ Championship, reigniting intense rivalries. In a Dutch media interview, Verstappen expressed confidence in his ability to win with any competitive car. He suggested that driving for Ferrari could have yielded similar results, while he admitted Mercedes would have presented more challenges. This reflected his belief in his skills, regardless of the machinery.

The season’s finale also saw an interesting exchange between Verstappen and McLaren CEO Zak Brown. Earlier, Brown had implied that several drivers could achieve championship success with the Red Bull car, somewhat diminishing Verstappen’s accomplishments. In response, Verstappen humorously countered the critique while emphasizing his drive to prove himself beyond the perceived advantage of his car.

Acknowledging such criticisms, Verstappen shared that they serve as motivation, driving him to continually prove his capabilities. For the reigning champion, success isn’t just about results—it’s also about silencing doubts and leaving no question about his place among F1’s legends.

Max Verstappen recently disclosed that he had once invited Lando Norris to join him at Red Bull as a teammate. This offer came during a period when McLaren was still rebuilding its competitiveness. Verstappen’s suggestion reflected his confidence in Red Bull’s capabilities and was a gesture of camaraderie toward Norris.

The Dutchman explained that his invitation was straightforward—if Norris wanted to consistently win, Red Bull could provide the platform to achieve it. The remark highlights the mutual respect between the two drivers, even as they have become fierce competitors on the track. It also underscores Verstappen’s confidence in his own abilities to thrive alongside a talented teammate in a highly competitive environment.
