New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge was intensely scrutinized for his slow start this 2024 MLB season. However, a player of his pedigree cannot stay away from the game much longer without making a difference. And hence, Judge picked up pace in the second month of the season.
With some minimal adjustments, Aaron Judge is back to hitting like his usual self. In the past four games, Judge has slammed three long hits with the latest one smashing season records. The Yankees captain boasted his prodigious power in the series finale against Astros and beat Shohei Ohtani to move up in the home run record list.
Aaron Judge Thumps Monstrous 473-Foot Home Run To Shake Up Season Records!
In a jaw-dropping display of power and precision, New York Yankees’ captain Aaron Judge left fans and analysts alike in awe as he smashed a monstrous home run against Houston Astros in the series finale. With a 3-1 count, Judge smoked a 473-foot home run to left-center field off Houston’s Ryan Pressly in the bottom of the eighth inning to add the third run of the game for the Yanks. While the homer wasn’t enough for the Yanks to attain a win, Judge made a remarkable impact with the longest home run of the season. Judge’s 473-foot moonshot is tied to Mike Trot in the list of 2024 MLB season’s longest home runs list.
Aaron Judge surpassed Shohei Ohtani’s 464-foot shot against the Atlanta Braves to claim the top spot in the record list alongside Trot. Notably, the 473-foot home run was also Judge’s third-longest career-long hit. He previously unlocked 496-foot and 495-foot home runs in his illustrious nine-year-long MLB career. “Not a lot of people go to that place,” skipper Aaron Boone described the captain’s monstrous hit. Notably, after a slow start to the season, Judge is now tied with Yankee star Juan Soto with nine home runs to lead the team’s tally of most long hits. Needless to say, a breakout is just around the corner for Judge, as his home stats suggest. In the past six games at Bronx, Judge went 10-for-22 with four doubles, three homers, four walks, and seven RBIs.
Judge Ecstatic As Yankees Win Big Vs Astros
In a promising performance, the New York Yankees secured the three-game series against the Houston Astros with a 9-4 win on Wednesday. Interestingly, the team’s prolific hitters Aaron Judge, Giancarlo Stanton, and Juan Soto homered in the same game for the first time this season. Naturally, Captain Judge was over the moon with his team’s performance.
Aaron Judge credited Juan Soto for kicking the momentum with a two-run home run in the first inning. Later, Judge and Stanton fed on the momentum to slam a solo shot each in the sixth inning to extend the Yankees’ lead in the dominant win. “Good things are happening, and the Yankees are winning,” Judge said after the game. However, Yanks dropped the series finale on Thursday and also dropped the chance of a series sweep.
