The Warriors faced the 76ers after two losses on the trot, and the last one came against the LA Lakers in double overtime. Before facing the Philadelphia franchise, the Dubs were 19-24. Hence, it was a difficult situation when they had to play without Klay Thompson in the lineup. But the Warriors just mentioned on X that Klay wouldn’t play because of illness. The veteran shooting guard missed Tuesday’s game due to a non-COVID-related illness. However, with Steph Curry’s brilliance, the Dubs were able to beat the 76ers.

But the Warriors would need Klay to return as soon as possible. Albeit, he has been struggling with scoring as he averages 17.6 points this season. But the opponents respect Klay’s presence because he can stretch the floor and create chances, especially for the Three-point King, Steph Curry. On the other hand, Klay Thompson has been very healthy this season so far. He played 42 games this season already and missed just a couple of games. Last November, he missed a game due to an adductor injury. That was his last absence. But in October, he missed a game due to a sore knee.
When Can The Dub Nation Hope To See Klay Back In The Lineup?
Despite a struggling season, the Warriors found Klay’s presence as a positive sign. They will expect to rule him day to day. On Friday, the Dubs can expect to see Klay Thompson back on the court against the Memphis Grizzlies. However, there is a chance that he might miss the Grizzlies game.
Then, he can return against the Atlanta Hawks on Saturday. Anyway, the Warriors will look to regroup and manage without Klay as long as it takes. Currently, they are 20-24 and still the 12th seed in the Western Conference. They would like to repeat a similar kind of performance against the 76ers in their following games.
