New York Yankees organization has once again shown their commitment to making a positive impact in their community, this time by honouring World Autism Day.

The New York Yankees have a long history of giving back to their community and supporting important causes. In recent years, the team has shown their support for various causes such as cancer research, military veterans, and mental health awareness. The franchise as a whole is committed to using its platform to spread awareness on many sensitive issues that are still considered taboo in society.

On April 2nd, the New York Yankees took on the San Francisco Giants for the final game of the first series. With a colossal homer from Giancarlo Stanton and assistance from Anthony Volpe in stealing bases, the Yanks took home a 6-0 shutout win and sealed the series. However, a pre-game gesture by the Bombers’ franchise to celebrate a special day won over the fans’ hearts.

The New York Yankees never fail to amaze fans with positive gestures towards the community. This time they celebrated World Autism Day before Sunday’s matchup on April 2. Before the game, Ethan Donn, a high school student, performed the national anthem on his violin in front of a packed Yankees crowd. Ethan, who was diagnosed with Autism at birth, has been practising music since the tender age of 6. The Yankees uploaded the video of Ethan performing on their Twitter account and thanked him for the same.

The team’s commitment to raising awareness for Autism didn’t go unnoticed by fans. Many of them took to the social media platform Twitter to express their gratitude for the team’s support. The Yankees’ commitment to autism awareness is just one example of how sports teams and organizations can use their platform to make a positive impact in their community. By providing a platform to an autistic kid and using their social media presence to raise awareness, the Yankees were able to reach millions of people and bring attention to an important issue.

Yanks Honor The First-Ever DH In MLB On The 50th Anniversary

Former Yankees designated hitter Ron Blomberg scripted history 50 years ago by being the first-ever to bat at the DH’s position in MLB. Hence, half a century down the line, the Yankees decided to honour their legend. Before Monday’s game against the Phillies, Ron threw the first ceremonial pitch to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

The New York Yankees, on the other hand, jets off to a perfect start to the season. They won three of the first four games, with two being shutout wins. The team as a whole is coming together. The pitching depth remains an issue, but once the regulars return in a few weeks, things should fall in place. Overall, the campaign so far has been nothing but successful. Moreover, the team looks poised to bring home the 28th World Title after 13 long years.
