Red Bull 19

Oracle Red Bull has already proved itself to be the strongest team in Formula One. But to ensure this tag with them forever, they need to bring upgrades that no F1 team would ever have imagined. To unlock the last bit of potential of RB19, the team is heading towards launching a very unique and special type of wing. In Australia, the Austrian team did so well that the Mercedes driver George Russell raised suspicion about Red Bull’s sandbagging.

Max Verstappen started the Melbourne race from the pole and won the race. On the other hand, Sergio Perez started driving from the last on the grid and managed to secure a P5. Isn’t it incredible? Despite the braking issues Sergio Perez faced in Q1, the team managed to throw a phenomenal performance on Sunday. However, did you notice some changes in the RB19 in Melbourne?

Actually, the wings of the car were upgraded by Red Bull. The squad came up with a revised flap arrangement that had tweaks to the endplate and the dive plane parts. This change was made to enhance the balancing area of the car. You may not have noticed, but the new rear wings of the RB19 launched just ahead of the Australian Grand Prix is now more chambered on the top and the middle part. Given this, now the car is allowed to present more of the dive plane into the below white arrows.

Team Red Bull Unlocking The Potentials Of The RB19 By Upgrading The Wings Along with The Brake Ducts

This arrangement must have helped the team improve the outwash effect of the RB19. And with this, another reason appears to work on a trade-off to make the inner portion of the wing light. To do so, they had to put the uppermost elements of the wings across the middle of the yellow line below.

You can figure out that the new RB19 is now more presented with a chord besides the inboard ends. In addition, there are several other areas too, where Red Bull did a little work. The ‘rear brake duct’ was altered too. Looking closely, we can find that Red Bull tried to enhance the cooling properties of the RB19. This eventually improved the local flow moves around the part of the car. The external brake duct is not a matter of concern.

Nevertheless, they used many mini fences to improve the control of the trajectory of the airflow by aligning them with the internal brake duct. These upgrades that Red Bull is continuing to bring with each passing race are just showing that the team is trying to unlock the performance of their latest creation. There is nothing wrong already, but it can be improved. This is what Red Bull is following.

The team has won all the races held so far. It is just three races, by the way, the same number of wins that was taken by Ferrari last year. But looking at the preparations of Red Bull, it is hard to believe that any uncertainty may take place on their path to victory, as happened to the Scuderia team in 2021.
