There was an intense moment between LeBron James and Stephen Curry during Game 1. King James seemed to follow King Curry in the second quarter when he was walking down to the bench, and he had something to tell him. Furthermore, it looked like they were having a heated conversation. However, Stephen Curry later cleared the doubts. The Warriors star mentioned, “James was just joking about guarding me all the way till I get to the bench.” It is understandable that the Lakers would take extreme steps to guard Stephen Curry as he came out after a historic game in the last match of the series against the Kings.

The three-pointer King is in the form of his life as he scored 50 points in Game 7 against the Kings before this. That is a record in Game 7’s history. The Warriors even came back from behind. They managed to level the game as they went 14-0 in the final quarter. In the end, it was a breathtaking finish as the Lakers held on to their nerve to snatch a victory against the defending champions. They won 117-112. Moreover, it is just the beginning of a fascinating series the fans have in their hands. LeBron James and the Warriors have a great history of rivalry in the postseason. They met in four consecutive NBA finals from 2015 to 2018. LeBron James won only once. The other three times, Stephen Curry ended on the winning side. After a long time, they met again in the postseason.

However, it is not the NBA finals but an all-important semi-final of the Western Conference. LeBron James would like to even things out between him and the Stephen Curry-led side. If the Lakers win the series, it would just take LeBron a bit closer to fulfilling that wish. The Lakers have gained a lead after winning the first game of the series on the road.
