The Austrian Billionaire has made an astonishing impact on Formula 1 racing in the last few years. He has managed to bring eight back-to-back constructors’ championships to Mercedes. As impossible and monotonous as it sounds, Toto Wolff is the main man behind the action. Alongside managing his team, he also owns one-third of the Mercedes-AMG-Petronas team with INEOS and Daimler. And it seems this ownership has changed his mindset to becoming a complete entrepreneur.

While giving the interview to Motorsports.com, Toto talked about how he wants to stay in Mercedes forever. Wolff told them that for a long time, he wanted to buy and sell his shares, but in 2020, he realized he wanted to stay. Although it was a sudden realization, he got a wake-up call that this was where he wanted to be. He also discussed how he wanted to start a new life in Thailand but could not act upon the plan. And now, the ownership of the company propels him to work even harder as it is his own company.

“In 2020, I came to the conclusion that for the first time in my life, I wanted to stay where I was, and I changed the strategy,” claimed Mercedes boss Toto Wolff.

Looking at the reports of the last decade, Toto has given excellent results as the team principal. He has strong connections in the community, and there is no reason why Mercedes would want to let go of such a strong presence. However, there is no official word from the company. So it would be safe to assume that the team will continue under Toto Wolff.

There are many ups and downs that Toto has seen during his time with Mercedes. But looking back, it has only been the ups for the man managing Mercedes with incredibly talented drivers. But there was once hope that Max Verstappen could have become the driver for Mercedes. However, they had no steering to offer him at that time. So Toto advised him to join Red Bull, and his journey since then has been unstoppable.
