Skip Bayless Is More Than Excited To See Anthony Davis & Not LeBron James Lead Lakers In The Playoffs

The Los Angeles Lakers are cruising to the playoffs. Who could have thought this was possible a month ago? A team that was suffering from injuries and balance in the roster. They could not even climb up to the top ten at a point. That very team has done the unthinkable. They are standing as the 7th seed of the Western Conference at the moment. Moreover, the Lakers can overtake the Warriors at any moment as they have played a game less. If the LA side can do that, they will easily make the playoffs.

The Lakers will not need to go through the play-in round. What a season this has been for the fans, let alone the team. Only four games to go, and the Lakers are looking stronger than ever. Last night the Los Angeles team enjoyed a dominating victory against the bottom-placed Houston Rockets. In their previous encounter, that same team got the better of the Lakers. But last night, LeBron James and Co. evened out things. The Lakers won 134-109 against the Rockets. And looks like one of James’ haters has finally moved to his side as he is uninterruptedly praising the Lakers for their amazing game.

Skip Bayless Is Loving The Current Lakers Team

This unbelievable transformation has not only delighted the fans but also the so-called haters. Of all people, Skip Bayless recently mentioned, “I would love to see the Lakers in the playoffs. I’m just loving them now.” But the kind of remarks Skip is making recently about LeBron James and his team has confused the fans. Fans are apparently curious and want to ask Bayless, “What happened to you, Skip? Don’t you hate LeBron anymore?” Maybe he does not really hate the King but only pretends to. Perhaps Skip figured out a way of making money as an LBJ hater. On April 1, Skip tweeted, mentioning that LeBron James is the GOAT.

What if he was just kidding, as it was April Fools Day? Again today, Bayless tweeted that he is just loving the current Lakers team. The Undisputed co-host also mentioned that he is eager to talk about how far this team can go in the West in his show. But seriously, though, everybody is wondering the same question. After the Sunday night demolition of the Rockets, the LA franchise has won six games in their last seven outings. The squad surprised everybody, winning eight games out of the thirteen without LeBron James.

LeBron James Keeps Breaking Records

Anthony Davis has been critically significant behind the recent success of the Lakers. Albeit, in the last match, the King made yet another record. Clearly, there is no stopping the 38-year-old leading scorer from breaking and making new records. LeBron James made another record in the game against the Rockets with yet another triple-double.

As a result, he is the joint fourth place holder in the list of the most triple-doubles with Jason Kidd. LeBron James, as well as Kidd, has got 107 triple-doubles in the league. The next player James can surpass is the third in the list, Magic Johnson, who has got 138. However, the triple-double list is led by the former Lakers teammate of James and Davis, Russell Westbrook (198).
