Fox Sports panelist, Skip Bayless, has once again made headlines after passing an unusual comment on LeBron James in his show “Undisputed.”
LeBron James brought his team, the Los Angeles Lakers, back onto the winning track after a back-to-back 40-point game. Owing to James’s performance, the Lakers have managed to win 3 of the last 4 four games. Yet, the Lakers are visibly struggling this season. They want as many wins as possible to stand a chance for playoff qualification.
However, the sports world stood still on Monday after a 24-year-old NFL player, Damar Hamlin, suffered a cardiac arrest during the game and collapsed on the field. He was taken to the hospital, and the match was postponed until further notice. Subsequently, LeBron James, an NFL fan himself, came out in support of the youngster and prayed for his speedy recovery. But to much surprise, King James’s heartfelt gesture for Hamlin and match-winning performance against the Hornets earned him a fan in none other than Skip Bayless.
Skip Bayless Announces That He Is A LeBron James Fan
Skip Bayless, highly regarded as one of the harshest critics of King James, said something almost unbelievable on his show. Bayless appeared on his show “Undisputed: Skip and Shannon” on Tuesday and talked about LeBron’s 43-point game against the Hornets. While analyzing the game, Bayless stated that he is now a LeBron James fan. Skip’s statement comes at a time when he is facing harsh criticism on social media over his insensitive comment on Damar Hamlin’s tragic accident.
“A skeptic has been turned into a fan,” said Bayless
While the entire sports community came together to support Hamlin, Skip Bayless saw an opportunity to make headlines with an insensitive and derogatory remark. He questioned NFL officials for postponing Bills vs. Bengals games after Damar Hamlin collapsed on the field. On top of that, his partner, Shannon Sharpe, a former NFL player, also skipped the show as a protest and stood in solidarity with Hamlin.
Bayless Brings Up Michael Jordan While Praising LeBron
Skip Bayless is pretending to have a change of heart. After King James’s 43-point game against Hornets, Bayless has gone on record to praise the Lakers striker on multiple occasions. This is very much unlike Bayless, who spent his whole life bad-mouthing James.
While discussing the Lakers vs. Hornets game, Bayless said that he is impressed with LeBron’s performance. But, he did not forget to bring up Michael Jordan in the conversation. Skip added a sarcastic comment saying that LeBron James loves to perform against Hornet, owned by Michael Jordan.
“LeBron loves to light up in Michael Jordan’s house,” said Bayless
Earlier, Bayless compared LeBron with Michael Jordan, saying that James can never come close to being a GOAT of the game. On top of that, he even went on to mock LeBron James for his interview after suffering a crushing defeat against Miami Heat. Skip accused the 38-year-old of whining about not winning games.
