Lewis Hamilton-Sebestian Vettel

Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are two of the best drivers ever to grace the motorsport. Perhaps only Michael Schumacher can be compared to Hamilton and Vettel\’s heights as Formula One drivers. However, Vettel and Hamilton both agree that they are each other\’s ideal foes. Over the course of the year, fans witnessed some epic confrontations between the two-star drivers. However, the duo has also demonstrated to the world the possibility of two enemies developing strong friendships and mutual respect.

Sebastian Vettel is currently competing in his last Formula One championship. The Aston Martin driver has lately announced his retirement from the sport after the season\’s conclusion. After that, SNI reported that the seven-time-world champion had said heartfelt about his competitors. In fact, Hamilton also said that he hoped Vettel to come out of his retirement someday.

Meanwhile, recently, Vettel has also talked about the British driver during an interview for Aston Martin\’s official website. In the interview, Vettel stated that Lewis Hamilton and Fernando Alonso have always been his toughest competitors. On being asked about his toughest challenge, Vettel stated, \”Lewis Hamilton, especially when I was at Ferrari. Lewis has always been right up there.\”

From 2010 to 2013, the German won four straight championships with Red Bull, beating Alonso in two of them. In 2017 and 2018, he competed with Hamilton for Ferrari. But the Mercedes driver prevailed in both seasons. Despite a three-year winless streak, Sebastian Vettel ranks third after Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton on the list of all-time champions. Additionally, he is third all-time among podium scorers.

Sebastian Vettel And Alonso\’s Rivalry!

In addition to Lewis Hamilton, Sebastian Vettel also had an ardent rivalry with Fernando Alonso. In 2010, Alonso\’s loss cost Vettel his first championship. Vettel was 15 points behind Alonso going into the last race of the season in Abu Dhabi. Thus, the Spaniard only needed a P4 to win his third title. Vettel was the clear winner. However, Alonso was unable to surpass sixth place because of a Ferrari strategy error that put him at the back of the pack.

However, Vettel found his form in the second half of the season and was in the driver\’s seat in 2012. Given how unreliable the Ferrari was for most of the year, Alonso should never have been in title contention. Alonso appeared to be winning until the first lap\’s Vettel spin, which left his Red Bull seriously damaged. After a chaotic race in unpredictable circumstances, Vettel battled back to place sixth, narrowly winning his third championship by three points.
