Samoa Joe\’s Return To NXT

WWE has released Samoa Joe back in April. When he was released, Joe was planning for his in-ring return as he was out for some time due to a concussion. As a result, he served as a commentator in WWE for almost an entire year. However, he didn\’t stay out of the company for a very long time as Triple H brought him back in May. Hunter ensured him that he would make his in-ring return. Upon returning, Samoa Joe worked as enforcers for William Regals, and at the same time, he was involved in a feud with the NXT Champion, Karrion Kross as well.

Samoa Joe finally got his most-anticipated match against Karrion Kross at NXT TakeOver 36. He defeated the latter to dethrone him and became the new NXT champion. Now, Joe had to relinquish this title without a single defense. There was an angle going on NXT that would set up Samoa Joe\’s first title defense.
