According to Boone, the top prospect is looking good to start a rehab assignment in a couple of weeks. Moreover, the Yankees manager explained that Jasson Dominguez is getting close as he is in the middle of the month, which is when he should get started in games. Anyway, the plan as of now is that Jasson will play as a designated hitter strictly in the first couple of weeks. Gradually, the Dominican top prospect will get reps in the outfield as well. Then, he will get the chance to use his surgically repaired elbow for the first time in games. Anyway, the Yankees are not planning to rush Dominguez into the playing rotation.
