Lewis Hamilton is a fan of speed, whether on fours-wheels or two. The legendary racer has showcased some of the most flawless driving skills on the F1 circuit. He is truly an icon with a trophy cabinet of seven world titles.

However, the Briton is also a huge fan of MotoGP. The lightning-quick sports bike rushing through the circuit excites him. Therefore, the Mercedes starlet is eyeing to buy a MotoGP team. He is interested in the Satellite Ducati team, Gresini racing.

Reports Suggest Gresini-Hamilton Partnership In Line

According to the latest reports, Gresini and Hamilton are discussing a potential partnership. The seven-time world champion is willing to buy the Ducati-owned MotoGP squad. Apart from F1, Hamilton has a strong investment portfolio. He is always looking to put his money into the right ventures. Further, MotoGP is the perfect sport, aligning with his love for speed. According to a report by The Race, Hamilton’s allies were present at the TT circuit of Assen this weekend. However, this is not Hamilton’s first time associated with a MotoGP team. He shares a great bond with Fabio Quartararo, the 2021 MotoGP champion. Further, he has a decade-long connection with legendary MotoGP rider Valentino Rossi.

In 2019, Hamilton and Rossi drove each other’s racing machines in Valencia, Spain. The Briton was seen revving  Rossi’s 2019 Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP YZR-M1 while the Italian biker drove Hamilton’s 2017 Mercedes-AMG W08. Afterward, Hamilton expressed his excitement, saying seeing a motorsport legend drive his car felt fantastic. Moreover, he said it reminded him of his first time in an F1 car. On the other hand, Valentino Rossi claimed to be a big fan of Hamilton, and his admiration grew more after the interaction.

However, Lewis Hamilton is not the only one interested in MotoGP. Liberty Media is also interested in buying stakes in the biking sport. The current owner of F1 is in talks to take over as the owner of MotoGP. Thus, if Hamilton gets a share in the Gresini team, it could pave the way for Liberty Media to be a stakeholder in the two-wheel motorsport.
