Apparently, the New York Yankees front office did a great job in selecting the best of the contenders. But unfortunately, there is no one who can save these major league players from remaining safe from injuries. At present, the New York baseball team is struggling with either the age of the players or unexpected injuries. Now that even Cap Aaron Judge is added to the list of the 13 Bombers on the IL, the remaining team on the field is just incapable of moving forward at the same pace.
The Yankees had a good first opening day of the 2023 season. But after some time, leading the majority of their important players to the injury list, was it even the same Yankees? The players could not even use their full potential due to the injuries. Sadly, we must accept the fact that the Bronx Bombers are just not able to withstand all these losses they are meeting day by day.
However, the team luckily has a good history in terms of tackling tough situations. Last September, there was basically nothing helping them in the end. But still, the Yankees lead a 1/2-game in the AL East and finished the season with 99 wins. Today, it’s neither September nor anywhere near the end of the MLB season, and the Yankees are tired. So this is a matter of concern. And you have all the right to ask, “What will the Yankees do to make a healthy team stand tall in the fields?”
Captainless, Yankees Having A Real Tough Time
Since 2009 Yankees have not won a single World Series. These 14 years went into dreaming for that one day when the team lofts the trophy. But it seems like 2023 is not the year. The Yankees are unable to match their own standards, and now the team is just capable of returning to the postseason.
Speaking of the current scores, the Yankees are standing in the last position in the AL East 8 1/2 games. They are even behind the Tampa Bay Rays. Looks like the upcoming few weeks are going to be really tough for the Bronx Bombers as they will have to face the Rays seven times continuously. The problem is Aaron Judge. Without the captain, how will the team survive?
There is no Giancarlo Stanton and no Josh Donaldson on the current lineup. We have seen how painful was Monday’s 3-2 loss to the Guardians. The five through nine hitters for the upcoming game are expected to be Willie Calhoun, Oswald Peraza, Isiah Kiner-Falefa, Oswaldo Cabrera, and José Trevino. But they could only make two hits out of 15 on Monday, as there was a solo homer by Trevino, who took all the highlights.
The hitters tried hard, despite rightly Domingo German‘s extraordinary performance, who managed to take out two hits in 8 and 1/3 innings; the Yankees lost the game! Now Aaron Judge is on the 10-day injured players list. He got strains on the right hip. Now all that fans gotta do is, pray! Pray for the speedy recovery of the gems of the Yankees. Otherwise, the New York Baseball team is definitely going to bury their ultimate goal this year.
