The off-season is underway, and the New York Yankees have enjoyed an extensive period of rest over the past few months. After finishing the season early in September, the players dropped baseball to break free from the stress the 2023 season produced. The 82-80 record season was certainly something the Yankee roster didn’t see coming.

Nonetheless, the Yankee players, as well as team management, are treating the season as a learning curve. The franchise’s top brass promised substantial changes whilst conveying intentions to contest for the World Championship in 2024. Meanwhile, the Yankees core group was recently seen practicing for the coming season. And fans cannot wait to see the boys in action soon.

The 2023 eye-opening season took a toll on New York Yankees players who were once accustomed to unparalleled success. A lot of players endured mental stress during the tough season. Thus, the players allowed themselves extended breaks before heading back to the off-season grind. Last year, the Yanks wrapped the season in September and had the entire month of October to themselves to rejuvenate. Subsequently, many players made the most of their leisure time and reconnected with their roots to find peace. Having said that, the vacation period is over, and accordingly, the core group of Yankee players has returned to the off-season grind. A few also shared clips of their training session, which swayed the fans on the internet.

Gleyber Torres shared a trailer of his ongoing YouTube series wherein he is seen batting in the cage alongside Yankees captain Aaron Judge and utility player Oswaldo Cabrera. Interestingly, Yank’s newly appointed hitting coach, James Rowson, was also seen guiding the players during the session. As soon as Torres uploaded the clip, the fans couldn’t help but laud the players’ grit and determination during the off-season. Many are excited to witness Torres and Cabrera’s turnaround whilst enjoying Aaron Judge’s typical fireworks. Having said that, Gleyber Torres and Oswaldo Cabrera have a lot to prove this coming season. While Torres shined in 2023, his defensive lapses threaten his roster spot. On the flip side, Cabrera is relatively younger. However, the utility player has had enough chances to showcase his talent in the major league. If he continues to miss those opportunities, his future in the Bronx is also under imminent threat.

Yankees Anthony Rizzo Resumes Training Post Concussion Recovery!

Besides Gleyber Torres, Aaron Judge, and Oswaldo Cabrera, the New York Yankees’ reliable first baseman, Anthony Rizzo, also resumed off-season training. Rizzo was shut down mid-season owing to a post-concussion syndrome. He collided with a Padres hitter in May. But got diagnosed two months later, which added to the severity.

Meanwhile, Anthony Rizzo seems fully recovered, as he recently glimpsed his off-season training on social media. In a video uploaded by a friend, Rizzo is seen taking sprint reps to improve athleticism. The first baseman seems to have regained desired consciousness. And fans would hope to see the old Rizzo back on the plate really soon.
