However, all the Mercedes fans hope to see their favorite team find redemption in the new year 2023.

Lewis Hamilton is very eager to finish his career after winning the ultimate driver’s championship for the eighth time. But until now, the big challenge was the defending champ of the Red Bull team. To make things more challenging, the Ferrari team has announced that they are gearing up to clinch the title this time. If Max Verstappen of Red Bull can beat Lewis Hamilton, then Charles Leclerc of Ferrari can beat both of them, which is what the team believes is possible.
The Team Principal of Ferrari, Frederic Vasseur, claims that the team is ready to win races and eventually the title. Like Mercedes, the Ferrari team suffered a lot last season, giving the Red Bull team an easy victory. Many experts and even Verstappen believed that if not Hamilton, Ferrari with Leclerc would give the defending champions stiff competition. However, halfway to the season, Max Verstappen gained a healthy lead against Charles Leclerc and eventually won the title with a healthy margin of 146 points against that of Leclerc.
Ferrari Boss Gives Reason For Aiming To Clinch The Title This Season
According to Ferrari boss Vasseur, when the team is high in confidence and the drivers are in top form, why should anyone expect anything less than a fight for the title? The boss added, “we don’t have a lack of ambition but rather looking to give tough competition to the defending champion team and the Silver Arrows.”
In the past, the team had a pretty good record with the legend Michael Schumacher. But they won the last world championship title back in 2007 with Kimi Raikkonen. Ever since that glory, the Ferrari team has been looking for the driver’s championship. But could not clinch a single world championship title.
Last year, Leclerc got a good start early in the last season and won two races out of the first three. He raised the team’s hopes. But ultimately lost his way. Ferrari had an advantage at the beginning of the previous season due to their pace. The team could not capitalize on the excellent start. As Leclerc barely managed to win a single race in the second half of the season. Generally, the blame for the team’s loss last season is given to mistakes in their strategies and issues with reliability. But this upcoming season, even Ferrari is looking for redemption like Mercedes.
