Max Verstappen is the current reigning champion. And this year as well, he is leading the table with full ace. However, his partner Sergio Perez is only six points behind him. The two Red Bull drivers have won two races each. It looks like Red Bull will have another dominating season like the previous one. Undoubtedly, the Austrian team is lucky to have the fastest car on the grid. No other team is even close to having a car as fast as RB19 in the new cost-cap era. Other powerhouses like Mercedes and Ferrari are struggling with their car due to budget restrictions.

However, Ferrari had a better result in the Azerbaijan Grand Prix than in the first three races of the season. Charles Leclerc gained a podium finish for the Red Devils. Ferrari and Mercedes had stiff competition in the form of Aston Martin as a new contender. Fernando Alonso looks determined to finish in the top three this season. However, Red Bull is way ahead of the rest. Many believe Max Verstappen is faster than everybody, even if they all get to race in the same car.

Most experts credit the car, RB19, for the secret behind their dominance. Red Bull has won all the four races up till now. However, it seems like Max Verstappen might not have a super lead over the rest like the last season. As Checo is gearing up to win his maiden driver’s world championship. Before the Grand Prix in Baku, many experts felt that Checo would have the upper hand in the street circuits of Azerbaijan. Later it proved to be true as Sergio Perez became the first driver to win two races in Baku.

Furthermore, with the hegemony of Red Bull, the fans and experts are raising questions like what if other drivers would get the chance to drive RB19? The former Sky Sports announcer and former F1 driver, Johnny Herbert, defended Max Verstappen claiming the Dutchman would win even if all the drivers get to race in RB19. The former F1 analyst suggests the best of Verstappen is yet to come out. Moreover, he thinks the two-time champion is getting in the habit of finishing in the top two every weekend. Hence, it feels like Max can do better. Verstappen has not reached his peak yet.

Fans are more than aware of Red Bull boss Christian Horner’s love for their driver Max Verstappen. Once again, the TP went on to praise the Dutchman, mentioning, “I find a lot of similarities between Max and Tyson Fury. Especially in terms of their killer instincts.” Tyson Fury is the current world heavyweight champion. Horner feels that since Verstappen had a tough upbringing, he has an attitude of never giving up. Furthermore, it always comes down to the last lap when Max accelerates and wins the races from nowhere.

If he doesn’t win, Max will finish at P2 as he did in Saudia Arabia from the 15th position accelerating in the final lap. This type of result happens when the driver has a keen sense of the tyres and a ‘never give up and never back down’ attitude. Both Red Bull drivers have a keen sense of tyres. They know exactly when to speed up and when to save the tyres.
