Recently, Lewis Hamilton spoke to Jay Shetty in an interview on his podcast. Hamilton expressed his feelings regarding how blessed he feels he is to have come this far in his life. He cannot come to terms with the process of uneven distribution of wealth between the rich and the poor. The Mercedes driver also believes that there should be a law regarding a limited amount of wealth for each and everybody. If there is a law like that then money can be distributed equally to everybody.

Last year, the F1 superstar Lewis Hamilton was the richest active athlete in England, according to The Sunday Times. The estimated net worth of Lewis Hamilton must be around £300 million. One of the richest F1 racers of all time feels that a law like this will give equal access to wealth to everybody without any discrimination. Lewis Hamilton shared his experience of driving around the streets of the United States of America. He said, “Still there are so many people living on the streets of Los Angeles. I’ve met kids who are starving every day. So it’s important for the fortunate people to use their advantage to help these unfortunate people, especially the kids.”

This passion for fighting against injustice and racism stems from the experiences of his childhood. Lewis Hamilton revealed with a heavy heart that he had been the victim of bullying since he was five years old at his school, The John Henry Newman School. He decided to learn Karate in order to protect himself from bullies and people who could not fight for themselves. There were very few kids of color but all of them were victims of bullying. Hamilton remembers those days when kids used to throw bananas at him. Teachers would make him stand outside the classroom as punishment without any fault of his own.

Hamilton expressed how much he loved soccer back in those days and even today he does. But he was always last in his class on the basis of the picks for his class teams. Even though he had more skills than some other kids. Racism and discrimination were at full flow during his school life. However, he could not come home crying and let his parents know how horrible the treatment was towards him in school because he wanted his parents to think that he is a strong kid. Lewis Hamilton feels those moments when he was able to help another kid from getting bullied were the best memories of his childhood.
