The Mercedes ace, Lewis Hamilton turned 38 this January. Now, just two years are remaining until he steps into his forties. Generally, athletes or sportspersons do not want to play beyond forty years of age. Once Hamilton also said that he is not much interested in being in Formula One ‘driving’ in his forties. Moreover, 2023 is the last year of his contract with Mercedes.

Although Mercedes principal Toto Wolff has assured many times that the contract period will get extended. Most likely it will only extend for two years only. So the point here is, that Lewis Hamilton is going to retire soon. And once he retires what will he do is very interesting to know. Recently, the 103 Grand Prix-winning driver, has revealed that after leaving Formula One he will go on exploring things he is passionate about.

The only reason why Hamilton is not retiring just by the end of 2023 is the eighth world title that he lost in 2021 to Max Verstappen. On the other hand, his boss Toto Wolff feels that Hamilton is always hungry for wins, he is never satisfied with what he has achieved. The Briton always wanted more. Meanwhile, in an analysis done by Express Sports UK, they found that half of the fans believe that Hamilton deserves to win the 8th title. Many of them said about him securing 10 crowns too. So Yes, it will be no shock if Lewis Hamilton continued driving even in his forties.

However, he has other things to do too. Recently, he is into Hollywood, collaborating with Brad Pitt, for a movie inspired by a rookie driver. And, he already is passionate about the music industry. He has implemented the Hamilton Commission and Mission 44. However, these are just partways things. Looking at what Hamilton’s father Anthony has said, he can’t stay away from the tracks even after retirement.

Meanwhile, in the ON Purpose podcast conducted by Jay Shetty, Lewis Hamilton revealed several major life secrets. Lewis explained that when he spoke to the other athletes, he found that everyone is so focused on being the best they can be in one particular thing. This keeps them deprived of the other things that they love doing. According to Lewis, if you are a driver, it does not mean that you only love driving. You must be interested in other things too. And leaving them all just because you are a driver, is not a good idea. Hamilton believes that there are things like playing an instrument or writing scripts, and all of them fall away if you do not pay attention.

However, speaking particularly about himself, Lewis Hamilton revealed that he loves a lot of things. After retirement he said, he will do, “a lot of things in the pipeline.” Hamilton is grateful for what he became from Formula One. But he is definitely not just remaining under the umbrella of one particular sport. He is already into something better and planning things where he will move after retirement.
