Lewis Hamilton Gets Emotional About Sebastian Vettel Leaving F1! Wants Him To Come Back From Retirement

Lewis Hamilton has won a record seven Formula One Championships over his illustrious career. However, for the Brit, making friends in the Formula has been tougher than winning World titles, which is why he was visibly sad when Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel announced his retirement from the sport once the 2022 F1 season ended. With only two races remaining in the ongoing season, the days of Lewis Hamilton\’s \”unexpected\” friend\’s departure from F1 are coming close, and the Briton is sad about it.

Lewis Hamilton Sad About Sebastian Vettel Leaving!

In July 2022, 35-year-old Aston Martin driver Sebastian Vettel announced that the ongoing Formula One season would be his last as the star wished to spend more time with his family. Meanwhile, his longtime F1 rival Lewis Hamilton is emotional about Vettel leaving. 

Lewis Hamilton has acknowledged that Sebastian Vettel\’s decision to leave Formula One at the end of the year makes him sad. Between 2010 and 2013, Vettel defeated the Briton and won four straight championships with Red Bull. But the two have since developed what the Mercedes ace, who has passed Vettel to win seven titles, calls an \”unexpected\” relationship. Hamilton has said that the loss of Vettel will be tragic.

 Lewis said that the friendship and connection had come as a surprise. It may be quite challenging when you and your partner are very competitive and fighting for the same cause. Hamilton stated that among all the drivers he has competed against, Sebastian was the only one who took \’the knee\’ with him against racism and discrimination. And that Formula one will be going to feel lonelier with Vettel. 

In 2020, Vettel joined Hamilton in making the anti-racism sign of kneeling. And Hamilton, who won the championships in 2017 and 2018 when Vettel was driving for Ferrari, has said he now views the Aston Martin driver as an ally.

Will Sebastian Vettel Make A Come Back! 

There are only races remaining in the 2022 Formula One season. But what makes this fact even harder to sink is that it might be the last time we ever see Sebastian Vettel compete on the track. The driver has announced that he will be hanging his boots after the season comes to a close to spending more time with his family. 

Meanwhile, his fans all around the globe are hoping that this may not be the case. The fans hope Vettel to make a return after retirement. And fans are not alone in this desire, as the Mercedes driver Lewis Hamilton also previously stated that he wished Vettel would realize that he loved the sport too great to leave and hopes that he might make a comeback. 

Even though that does not seem to be a strong possibility, there is still a glimmer of hope for Vettel\’s fans around the world. Recently, Vettel had a chat with the German website Der Spiegel. During th conversation, he revealed that he is looking forward to the next chapter of his life. However, Vettel did not entirely rule out the possibility of making a return to the stories stage of Formula One.
