He kicked off the championship with an unlikely podium in Bahrain before finishing 10th in Jeddah. In Spain, the Briton fell behind to P19 in the opening lap. However, Lewis was quick to respond first and denied being a leader at Mercedes. Hamilton stated that he would not say he is a leader. He specified that George and himself work equally hard together to help drive the tome and fight as hard as everyone else.
Moreover,the Briton stated that a driver learns about themselves when they get through adversity and challenges by dealing with and reflecting on things. The Briton claimed that he had not learned particularly much more. And his past experiences had helped him during the phase. Hamilton Still Enjoys Racing While Russell Praises His Contribution

George has watched Lewis since the time he joined Mercedes and how Toto worked things about and the culture within the organization. He stated that his team strives for more, never stays complacent, and witnesses how everyone works to resolve the issues. It inspires and motivates the 24-year-old to learn from the best in business and continue pushing for more. Russell added, \”So I think I\’m in a really privileged position to be team-mates with Lewis and be part of the Mercedes.\”
