One of the greatest of all time, Lebron James, is turning the heat on for his team, Los Angeles Lakers. He is on his way to being the all-time top scorer, breaking the great Kareem Abdul-Jabbar’s long-held record. But the King is not shifting his focus from the team. Lebron James, 38, is fighting hard to help the Lakers win as many games as possible. Apparently, the squad is not having the best time with many injury concerns to the top players like Anthony Davis, etc. But Lebron James’ dominance in every game is undeniable.
LeBron James Makes It To Another Record
After turning 38, King James has scored 35+ points in more than three games and now holds this record with legends like Michael Jordan, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Reggie Miller, and Karl Malone in less than ten days.
In every game, the King is providing that discipline and focus, which are the biggest weapons for any champion. Skills are not enough for the long term. To be at the peak for two decades, one must have a strong, focused, and disciplined mentality. The sheer will and focus determine the difference between a good player and the great player.
Every time LBJ is on the court, he makes his presence felt with some incredible move. At 38, he is scoring and assisting far better than any 17-year-old. His journey in the NBA started when he was 17 and has been twenty years since. It has been an epic journey, breaking and making records and becoming a contender for the GOAT designation along with MJ!
James Wants To Win More Games, Not Focusing On Breaking Records
Even after 20 years, Lebron James can score 30 points every game with absolute jaw-dropping ease. LA Lakers are gaining momentum as the 2022-2023 season is progressing. They can give any team in the Western Conference a deadly fight, as they have won five back-to-back matches on the trot. James believes the team’s recent success is due to “better ball movement and defensive rebounding.”
In a recent interview with ESPN, James expressed his feelings about the accolades that come his way, “This (Winning) is what I want. Never liked losing. Breaking records and all these accomplishments does not matter to me when it comes to a losing cause.”
The biggest concern of the front office has to be the roster. James is doing well for himself, but the team does not look like a title contender. Except for the 2020 NBA Championship, James did not have much success with the Lakers as he is eyeing his 5th championship. With Miami, he won two; with Cleveland, which he considers his home, he won one. But with the Lakers, King James would love to win the second one, given the team’s legacy.
The Lakers fans have been burning in anger as they watched James breaking and making records, but the team has not been winning a title since the last in 2020. But things are changing post the champ turned 38 and led the team to back-to-back victories without Anthony Davis. The fans are feeling hopeful again.
