LeBron James is now the leading point scorer of the American League NBA after the former surpassed Kareem Abdul Jabbar.

LeBron James was poised to achieve a historical feat in his 20-year-long career. Ahead of tonight’s game against the Thunders, James’ all-time career points tally stood at 38,352. The veteran needed only 36 points to surpass Kareem Abdul Jabbar and get himself crowned as the leading point scorer of the NBA. And it took King only three-quarters of the game to get this historical record under his name.

   

LeBron started the game well by scoring 20 points in the first half of the match. Moreover, during the final seconds of the third quarter, James scored a final dunk which took his points tally to 38,388, and LeBron James was officially crowned as the leading point scorer of the NBA. The fans, family, celebrities, and the captain, Kareem himself, arose and applauded King James. Moreover, the NBA decided to felicitate LeBron and paused the game during the third quarter.

Kareem Abdul Jabbar came up with a sacred basketball and passed it to LeBron James. James broke into tears before delivering a heartfelt acceptance speech. King James started his speech by thanking the Lakers and the fans for their faith and support.

Furthermore, LeBron James acknowledged the presence of Kareem Abdul Jabbar and asked the audience to honor him a standing ovation. While the whole world is congratulating LeBron James for his historical record, a few of his NBA colleagues did not fail to join the party. The young brigade of the Oklahoma City Thunder swept away a convincing 133-130 victory over the Lakers. With this, the purple and gold slip back to 13th position on the Western Conference points table with a scoreline of 25-30. This marked the 30th loss of the Lakers this season, and the playoff berth is getting farther away from its reach.
