Elon Musk\’s taking over as the head of Twitter was the highlight of last week\’s news cycle. However, ever since Musk took over the business, a sudden rise in hate speech and racist remarks has been witnessed on social media platforms. And, now, Lakers\’ star LeBron James has expressed his concerns over the increased use of the N-word on the platform.

Elon Musk, the founder of SpaceX, has recently garnered more media attention. The flamboyant entrepreneur initially gave the impression that he was teasing a takeover of Twitter. But soon after, Musk pulled the trigger and started the process of buying the well-known social media platform. Musk put everyone on notice earlier this week when he entered the Twitter headquarters carrying a sink.

Several reports indicate that since the acquisition, there has been a rapid rise in the use of racist remarks such as \” nigger\” on the platform. Therefore, recently, LeBron has expressed his concerns about this disturbing trend. What LeBron James stands for as a person is much more than just basketball. The Lakers stars, on numerous occasion, has been the active voice against discrimination and prejudices. From time to time, he has spoken about several issues and has been promoting a more inclusive and progressive environment not just in sports but all around. 

James recently took on his social media account to express his concerns about trends highlighted by Washington Post\’s report. LeBron James shared the report\’s link via Twitter, stating that it showed a 500% spike in using the word \”nigger\” on that social media platform. He also urged Twitter to take such statements seriously. LeBron continued by saying that regardless of who owns Twitter, the situation needs to be taken seriously. The article gained much attention, garnering more than 100,000 likes on Twitter alone and 20,000 shares from others.

Given that Musk committed to deleting all Twitter bots, this is a very astonishing event. He claimed that Twitter was lying about the precise number of bot accounts on the site, almost preventing the completion of his acquisition of the business.

Musk Responds To Lebon James\’ Remarks!

Elon Musk, the new owner of the firm, responded to LeBron James\’ concern about the rise in racist slurs on Twitter by saying that almost all accounts promoting hate speech are fake. Musk has very vocally advocated for the retention of tweets that contain \”gray area\” content, but he also acknowledges that tweets that are overly divisive shouldn\’t be pushed.
