LeBron James is undoubtedly happy and excited to be back in the Los Angeles Lakers lineup. As fans knew, he was out with a tendon injury for a long time. After missing a month’s game schedule for the Lakers, the King wants to get to the postseason. The squad has also somehow kept the hopes alive for at least a play-in berth this time. After beating the Bulls at the United Center, they are cruising ahead. And clearly, LeBron James and the team are excited to climb to the top six seeds.

The Western Conference is a tight-knit group. But other than the top three positions, any team can make the rest of the top six seeds. LeBron James have missed the postseason last year. So clearly, he is in no need to miss this year’s chance. Since the Lakers won the 2020 championship, the team had a tough outing for the following seasons. But not making the postseason two years in a row is not in the King’s DNA.

Why Should LeBron James Join The Mavericks?

Recently in the Bill Simmons podcast show, Simmons predicted that at some point, LeBron James might move to the Mavericks. Bill Simmons started to talk about the possible future roster of the Dallas Mavericks. The team has got Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving. In the recent future, the Mavericks might look to build a team starring superstars. It is not new in NBA when teams look to bring in top players to win titles. The Lakers are famous for doing so. They had Shaquille O’Neal and Kobe Bryant at the same time.

The Mavericks may try to do the same. Simmons predicts that the Dallas franchise may want to buy Draymond Green from the Warriors. These three players – Doncic, Irving, and Green are all favorites of LeBron James. The King has got a lot of respect and admiration for these players. Draymond Green, no matter what, always has been a top supporter of King James. Kyrie Irving is an old teammate of LeBron James. Irving and James won the 2016 championship for the latter’s hometown franchise. Hence, if the Lakers don’t make the postseason this time either, the King might want to look at the offer from Mavericks, if there is any.

Are Mavericks The Right Choice For The King?

When James was asked what was more important – the individual records or the championship? LeBron James chose the latter. But the Lakers had a tough season this year as well, and if they can’t make the playoffs or even the play-in, will James think about leaving the franchise? People ask this question a lot. But King James replied that he wouldn’t leave AD alone in the Lakers.

The Dallas franchise, even with Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving, is not doing that great. The Mavericks are currently the 11th seed in the Western Conference, with only five games remaining for them in the regular season. They have a .481 record with a 37-40 win-loss ratio. It is not looking good for the Mavericks. Hence, the question is, will Doncic wait even after the franchise may not make the postseason? Even Luka may want to change teams later; then what? Bill Simmons’s prediction may not come true after all.
