Anthony Davis and LeBron James have been playing for the Los Angeles Lakers since 2019. They have been one of the best duos in the NBA ever since. Moreover, the two stars of the Lakers have been great friends since they started representing the LA side. Together, the James-Davis duo helped the Lakers win the title in the 2019-20 season. The Lakers Faithful trust the duo to help them win at least one more title. Only time can tell if the James-Davis duo is able to fulfill that dream of the fans. Moreover, King James and AD are the two stars and leaders of the team.

But Davis is eight years younger than LBJ in terms of age. However, AD is almost ten years younger than LeBron James in terms of their NBA debuts and seniority. King James made his NBA debut in 2003. Who knows how long LeBron James can still continue to play? He will be 39 next December. Looking at his fitness, the fans can expect him to play for another five years with ease. Recently, during the Lakers preseason games in Las Vegas, LeBron James had a hilarious moment with Anthony Davis.

LeBron James was saying something along the lines of “I’ve been in the league for a long time and came to Vegas to play ball for the first time in 2005.” In reply, Anthony Davis reacted with a “Damn” comment. Seeing AD’s reaction, LeBron James asked him what he was doing back in 2005. Adding to that, LBJ asked if Anthony Davis was in the third grade back in 2005. In reply, the eight-time All-Star mentioned he was in fifth or perhaps sixth grade in 2005. This conversation clearly proved how much older LBJ is to the rest of the teammates.

On the other hand, Anthony Davis debuted in the league in 2012 for the New Orleans Pelicans. The funny side of the conversation between AD and LBJ is that the eight-time All-Star is not among the young players anymore. But still, the fact is that he was in grade school when his teammate made his NBA debut. Moreover, LeBron James joined the league right out of high school. There are currently so many players in the league who were not even born when LBJ made his NBA debut. And some, like AD, were there in grade school when James made his Vegas debut. Clearly, it is a testament to the incredible longevity of King James. He is still continuing to play at such a high level. Moreover, he helped his team to make the postseason last season. Can he do a little better in winning the title itself in 2024?

At the end of the last season, he almost announced his retirement. Moreover, he was contemplating retirement plans. Later, he changed his mind, looking at a good prospect to win his 5th ring. It happened after the Lakers increased depth and balance in their roster in the offseason. LeBron James might be waiting to win his second title with the Lakers. Moreover, he is waiting for his son, Bronny, to make his debut in the NBA.

He has the desire to play alongside his son before he hangs his boots. Perhaps to fulfill his final wish as an NBA player, he would be able to break the record for longevity in the league. Already, LeBron James has played for over 20 seasons in the NBA. Moreover, he is prepping for his 21st season at present. In his 20th season, King James was able to break the all-time scoring record. But he is not looking to stop anytime soon.
