LeBron James

LeBron James is dropping fire performance as we recently switched to the new year. The Los Angeles Lakers are under tremendous pressure as they are on the verge of missing another playoff. Amid all the injury problems, LA is getting weaker every day. And soon, if they dont receive reinforcement, they will collapse to replicate the last season. Regardless King James is producing his magic to keep the chance of playoffs alive. However, his deleting tweet displays his lack of confidence in the Lakers.

In mid-December, the Lakers lost their most destructive player Anthony Davis to a stress foot injury. Later during Christmas deleted the tweet which said he did not want to miss another playoff. Although the tweet is nowhere on Twitter, fans believe LeBron James deleted it to avoid hate for him.

However, after Christmas, the four-time champ looks extra motivated to take the team to the playoffs on his own. In the meantime, the Lakers also lost Russell Westbrook to a foot injury until further notice about his injury. But it did not stop the 18-time All-star from dominating the Hornets on Monday. Keep reading to figure out how his performance broke the record.

LeBron James Breaks Another Record

The 37-year-old has made it his routine to smash the records that were untouchable once. In the game against the Hornets, LeBron James became the first player in history to produce the same scores in back-to-back outings. He scored 40 points and ten rebounds in two consecutive games. On the occasion of his birthday bash, he was close to a triple-double with 47 points, ten rebounds, and nine assists. Before Monday, James was the only second player to have a 45-10-5 game after Michael Jordan in history. However, even Michael has not done the feat in the back-to-back game.

Even after LeBron James’ spectacles, LA is far behind from confirming their playoff spot. The Lakers currently sit in 12th position behind Minnesota Timberwolves and Utah Jazz in the table. To keep the Lakers afloat, the international Olympic winner will have to score loads of points. But with beast performances comes an extra load that causes injuries. And the Lakers are already two men down who were the most important pillars of the team. In the meantime, LeBron James is averaging 29 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.6 assists.

The Lakers’ rise from the adversities is a tough one as of now, but all hope is not lost. The timely return of Anthony Davis with a similar form could make a difference. However, there are no certain updates on the return of the 29-year-old Lakers center. And Russ also followed Davis to the sideline, causing a huge imbalance in the team. There is no better time for the Lakers’ front office to make changes. Otherwise, LeBron James might also succumb to pressure soon.
