The Los Angeles Lakers improved so much after the trade deadline that even after a worse performance, they will fall to the eighth seed. This is important to understand the gravity of success that the Lakers have achieved since they traded new players. But now, since the team is well constructed, they lack the rest to put their best foot forward. Darvin Ham, Anthony Davis, and LeBron James have all emphasized how tiring this last week was for the whole team. It was especially bad for the superstar duo struggling with their injuries.

LeBron James returned to action in the last week after recovering from his foot injury. It is an injury that has been bothering him for a while, but he keeps on putting on his game shoes to save his team. Anthony Davis, on the other hand, is suffering something similar with his long-term back problems. But despite the pain, the two of them have given everything required for the team to qualify for the postseason. And this effort made them only the sixth team in the history of the NBA to finish above .500.

The superstar duo was torchbearers for the Lakers to lead on their shoulders. However, the load was heavy on them until the last day of the trade deadline. Ever since the purple and gold have welcomed the likes of D’Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Jarred Vanderbilt, and Mo Bamba, they have leveled the team. After the changes were made, players were brought in, and some sold out. The locker room vibes resonated more with the champions. And these new players also helped the team out in the second-last game of the season against the Suns.

Anthony, who is always under tremendous load and pressure from the fans, has been thankful for the new addition. Even LeBron gave a sneak peek of his conversation with Davis about how they have turned the season around. “I was just telling AD, I was like, ‘Man, can you believe that we’re going to finish this season above .500?” said King James.

The teams in the NBA are spitting fire as they are on the edge of the postseason. The Golden State Warriors won over Portlanland with a massive score of 157-101. This should signal the Lakers that their way to the postseason is not going to be a cakewalk. Therefore it is necessary that the team ensures nothing but the top performance in the play-in tournament.

The last day of the Western Conference was a little too anticipated because of it is dynamic nature and tight points. Anything could have happened, but the table remains the same as it was for the top six teams.
