The second-round playoff series between Los Angeles Lakers and Golden State Warriors started with a bang, with the Lakers leading the seven-game series by 1-0. They kept bringing their A game against the mighty Warriors and swept a perfect victory with a collective team effort. Anthony Davis and LeBron James once again took center stage and kept their command over the game throughout.

Meanwhile, the Lakers and Warriors will meet each other again tomorrow for Game 2 of the playoff series. The Warriors, looking for a desperate comeback, are likely to step out with all guns blazing. On the other hand, the purple and gold have the winning momentum at their helm and would love to capitalize on the same. However, both teams are facing a few injury concerns, which could prove costly as the series progresses.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ fate changed when the trade window closed down in February. They overhauled their starting lineup while being the 13th-seeded team in the West. And now, they have their eyes set on the finals berth. One crucial piece of the new-look Lakers was guard Mo Bamba. Orlando Magic traded him for Patrick Beverley at the trade window. He played nine games wearing the purple and gold jersey averaging 3.7. 4.6 rebounds and 0.6 blocks before succumbing to an ankle injury.

Moreover, the troubling ankle is back to haunt Mo Bamba. The guard, reportedly, was suffering from a sore ankle and continued to stay out of the Lakers playoff rotation. It is also known that he received an injection for the same sometime during the break between the two playoff series. While he missed Game 1 against the Warriors, the guard will not miss another game in a row. It’s not a major blow to the Lakers, as Bamba is not a part of the active roster and played as a reserve. However, as the series progress, they might need his services if any of the starters faces a slump.

The Golden State Warriors will host Los Angeles Lakers for the second game of the seven-game second-round playoff series. They need this win to get back into contention for the finals. Ahead of the game, they have released an injury report. In the report, Patrick Baldwin Jr is listed as questionable as he is suffering from a toe injury. Hence, his participation is still uncertain.

Moreover, Andre Iguodala and Ryan Rollins are listed as out as they are headed for surgery due to their respective injuries. Hence, the Golden State Warriors will miss the services of both these players for the entire series. It is certainly a setback for the team who is trailing so far. Nonetheless, they have the likes of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson, who could carry the team to a comfortable victory on any given day. Hence, we expect a lot of action tomorrow as these stalwart teams lock horns for Game 2 of the playoffs.
