LA Lakers Cornered To Play Their Next Few Games Without LeBron James! Will They Win Over The Grizzlies Tonight?

The Los Angeles Lakers are in deep trouble after losing two players after the All-star event. Everyone thought that after a rough season, it was time for LA to have theirs in the last bit of the season. But destiny plays its card in a weird way, and it has created some chaos in the team. As they have won two games in a row, they have also lost two players to ankle injuries in the same fashion. And to make things worst, one of the players is LeBron James, who has to be a crucial part of the journey.

Apart from LeBron, the new arrival D’Angelo Russell is also injured. The young point guard came to the team in exchange for Russell Westbrook to improve the roster. However, he only featured in four games before hurting his ankle to sit on the sidelines. The Lakers Could Be In Trouble For The Next Few Games

They won the last time the Lakers faced the Memphis Grizzlies, one of the top teams in the Western Conference. It was one of the games where the 34-year-old point guard Russell Westbrook shined the brightest with 29 points. However, this last clash was eighty days ago, and a lot has changed since then, as Westbrook no more wears the Purple and Gold. It will be a much more difficult task this year because there will be no LeBron James on the rotation. James suffered an injury to his right foot, and he twisted his ankle in the game against the Mavericks.

The confirmation came last night that LeBron James is officially sitting the game out against the Grizzlies. If one follows the Lakers, one knows how important every last bit of 21 games is for them. But it is very difficult to stay afloat without their highest scorer, who recently became the number one scorer in the NBA. Apart from LeBron, D’Angelo Russell is also doubtful because of his injury in the Warriors game. He also sprained his ankle, only playing for 9 minutes against the Curryless Warriors. Therefore the Lakers will miss the two prominent players who were very enthusiastic about the postseason.

Everyone is aware of the ambitious speech LeBron gave after the All-star game for the remaining season. And the seriousness of the matter could be understood by looking at the 29-32 record, which is not enough for them to qualify. Meanwhile, all the games in the next week are against the Western Conference team. Meaning that if they mishap in any of the games, it will be difficult to make a comeback from there. And making a strong run in the absence of James will be a task the Lakers would want to avoid.
