Jordan Clarkson and LeBron James

LeBron James is a name that is synonymous with King in the world of basketball. There are very few records left for him to break. But the biggest thing for youngsters to learn from him is his incredible consistency, even at the age of 38. LeBron James is playing in his 20th season in NBA. He is averaging 30.0 points per game and is on a mission to take the Lakers to the postseason, which looks very hard at present. However, as the saying goes, “it’s not over till it’s over.” Theoretically, Los Angeles Lakers still have a chance to make it to the playoffs. They have an excellent opportunity to qualify for the play-in tournament if they can climb up to the 10th seed.

Currently, they are in the 13th spot in the Western Conference table. The Lakers were struggling with their uneven roster, but after the recent trades went pretty well, they look like a balanced side. However, the responsibility will fall on the two Lakers stars – LeBron James and Anthony Davis. Both of whom have been suffering from several injuries since the previous season.

Recently during the All-Star game, LeBron James suffered a finger injury that led him to opt out from the rest of the game. King James did not play from the third quarter because he did not want to take any risk. LeBron James wants to play as many matches out of the remaining 23 games in the regular season for the Lakers.

Experience Of Playing With And Against LeBron James

Anybody who has played against the King knows how intimidating it is to stand opposite to him. A player with a height of 6 feet 9 inches and a weight of 250 pounds can pose a threat to any player in the opponent team. If he starts running towards them with pace, it can scare the bejesus out of the opponent players. The 30-year-old Utah Jazz player, Jordan Clarkson, shared his experience playing with and against King James. Clarkson was lucky enough to play in the Lakers and the Cavaliers with LeBron James during the 2018 season. But he saw the scary side of King James while playing against him. When asked how to stop him, Clarkson replied, “just foul him till nobody stops you.”

But the question remains, is hacking LeBron James an ideal thing to do? No, it is not, and it was neither. Albeit, LeBron may not be a perfect shooter from the free throw. But sending James to the line is not a good idea because he is definitely not a bad free-throw shooter, either. In his career, King James has a record of 73.5% shooting a free throw in the regular season. But it gets better in the playoff seasons with a record of 74% free throw shooting. However, it is not like LeBron James has always made it as an FT shooter. But it is not a bad strategy to win a foul to give James the last shot for a team to win.
