New York made the arrangement public, and a news conference to explain it was scheduled for Wednesday at Yankee Stadium. Roger Maris of the Yankees had previously held the AL record with 61 home runs, which Judge broke last season with his 62 home runs.

Lately, Steinbrenner stated that keeping Judge a top priority right away following the Yankees\’ postseason elimination. At least once in Tampa, he had a face-to-face meeting with the outfielder, during which he expressed his family\’s desire that Judge stays \”a Yankee for life.\” Judge would be the first Yankees captain since Derek Jeter (2003–14), according to Steinbrenner. He also claimed the idea is on the table.

Judge had 131 RBIs, which tied him for the major league lead, and a.311 average. The biggest disparity since Jimmie Foxx of the Philadelphia Athletics hit 58 home runs in 1932, and Babe Ruth of the Yankees had 41 home runs was 16 home runs. He hit more home runs than any other player. Judge won another $146.5 million and two seasons with a guarantee by placing his bet on himself.

Only Mike Trout and Mookie Betts had higher contracts than Judge, who signed a $365 million agreement with the Dodgers for the 2019–31 season. Also, only pitchers Max Scherzer and Justin Verlander of the New York Mets make $43.33 million annually. That is more money than position players on average than Judge, which is $40 million.

There was an intense battle between the New York Yankees and the San Francisco Giants in pursuit of the 2022 MVP. Given that Aaron\’s hometown is California, the Giants were willing to break the bank for the player. They wanted to make him the face of the franchise. However, at last, Judge proved Steinbrenner correct and displayed that he is a \”Yankee for life\”. Now the Yankees fans just hope that this association turns out to be fruitful. And helps the Yankees lift the World Series title.
