\”It\’s A Go\” For Mercedes As Lewis Hamilton & George Russell Returns On Track For Another Showdown

After a terrible 2022 season, the Silver Arrows will hope their luck will turn around this season. The team has been dealing with a lot of trouble lately regarding the machine of the W13 and W14 cars. Last season the team suffered a lot because of the porpoising issue. The drivers were injured due to bouncing problems quite a few times. Lewis Hamilton suffered severe back pain during the Azerbaijan Grand Prix last season. According to the team boss, Toto Wolff, the team has worked very hard to get ready for the upcoming 2023 season.

The season will technically kick off from the Bahrain Grand Prix in March. But before the race for the title begins, the teams need to go for the first round of the Pirelli tyre test run. This week, Lewis Hamilton and George Russell both had their first taste of action for the upcoming season this year, 2023. The Brackley-based Silver Arrows team started their first round of test runs on the Pirelli tyre this week. The 24-year-old George Russell was seen practicing in the machine of the W13 cars from last year at Paul Ricard, the ex-French Grand Prix venue.

Silver Arrows Back On Track For Another F1 Run

The Silver Arrows shared the photos on social media on February 1, 2023, Wednesday and added the caption, \”Missed This.\” What Russell did on Wednesday, Hamilton did on Thursday, and again, the Mercedes team shared the pictures on social media. The Great English racer went around the garage talking with the engineers. The two racers of the Silver Arrows will travel to Spain for more test run as per schedule on February 7 and 8.

The drivers will practice again on the W13 cars at the Jerez race track for a couple of days. Like every team has to launch their new vehicles before every season, the Silver Arrows will do that too pretty soon. As per the schedule, W14, the new Mercedes car\’s launching dates are on February 15 at the Silverstone. Later this month, every team will go straight to Bahrain for pre-season testing scheduled to happen between February 23 and 25.      

Expectations Of The Fans For The 2023 Season

After the last season, which was like an eye-opener for Mercedes of losing the title-winning habit. The team would hope for a big turnaround. Especially the seven-time champ would hope to regain what was once his. Albeit, it looks like there is no lack of understanding between the two racers of the Silver Arrows. Everybody is hoping to see George Russell give tough competition to Lewis Hamilton.

The Silver Arrows would expect to see either of the two bring the title back home. And stop the Red Bull team from making a hat trick of title victories. The fans will hope to see Lewis Hamilton gets back to his rhythm as soon as possible. Even though Hamilton has mentioned a few times that sometimes he doesn\’t feel 100% passionate. Fans are not giving up on him that easily. Everybody will keep their fingers crossed until Lewis Hamilton wins his eighth driver\’s championship title.
