The New York Yankees continue to reel under multiple injury setbacks as they advance into the third month of the 2023 MLB season. In the past many weeks, the team has struggled to maintain the health of their key players. While the injury aspect is something beyond a team’s control, it’s important for the Bombers to stay vigilant and a little cautious as they progress into the season. Meanwhile, we have some update on Harrison Bader, who is reeling from a hamstring injury.

Just today, the Yankees placed their captain and the backbone of the offense lineup, Aaron Judge, on IL owing to a toe injury with no set return timeline. Along with Judge, the heart of the outfield for the Yankees has been Harrison Bader. He wreaked havoc shortly after returning from an oblique injury. However, Bader suffered yet another injury, which led to his week-long absence from the squad.

Center fielder Harrison Bader has been a crucial part of the New York Yankees lineup. However, his troubling relationship with injuries continues to become a problem for the front office. Prior to the 2023 MLB season opening day, Bader suffered from an oblique strain and missed three whole weeks of game time. However, when he returned, he unleashed absolute carnage. The outfielder scored .267 with six home runs and 19 RBIs in just 26 games. However, the sudden surge didn’t last long.

A few weeks ago, Harrison Bader strained his hamstring while running on base paths and immediately left the game to undergo scans. He was later diagnosed with a low-grade hamstring pull, and the Yankees put him on a 10-day IL subsequently. His IL stint is supposed to end this Friday. However, as per the latest development, Bader is most likely to skip this timeline as he needs additional time to recover fully. He has been doing some field activities for the past few days and has reported no discomfort whatsoever. Yet, the team does not want to risk anything by rushing his recovery. The center fielder might ask for an additional week of rest and return somewhere around next week.

Yankees center fielder, Harrison Bader, continues to fight his hamstring injury as he enters the third week of his rehab program. While Bader is eligible to play from Friday, he has asked for some more time to get his rhythm right. Updating on his current status, the center fielder said he is very close to a return and just needs to gain his speed back which will roughly take a few days.

Harrison Bader further added that he is desperate to join back the Yankees lineup. He wishes that he could roll out the bed tomorrow and be ready to feature in the lineup. But unfortunately, that’s not how things work in baseball. There is a proper procedure set in place for everything, and he is obliged to adhere to it. Regardless, Bader’s return is just a few days away, which will bring along a massive boost to the Yankees’ offense.
