Four-time world champion Sebastian Vettel is undoubtedly one of the most well-liked and iconic drivers in the Formula One circuit. Meanwhile, in July, the Aston martin driver announced his untimely retirement from Formula One. As iconic as the rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel was, there is no doubt that both drivers had a great deal of respect for each other. Recently, Hamilton has expressed his hopes for Vettel to return on track. 

Lewis Hamilton Hopes For Sebastian Vettel\’s Return!

Without question, Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel are two of the finest Formula One drivers. Together, they have won 11 Formula One world championships, and they have not only revolutionized the sport but also provided some of the sport\’s most exciting rivalries. Vettel declared that he would give up competitive racing at the conclusion of this season during the 2022 summer break. The German driver informed his followers on Instagram, and soon after, well-wishes started to arrive from all around.

   

After Vettel announced his exit from the professional motor racing sport, Lewis Hamilton had nothing but kind words for his on-track rival. The two formula-one legends always shared a special bond with each other as Hamilton stated, it was a little less lonely in F1 with Sebastian around. 

Meanwhile, as the day of Vettel\’s exit from Formula One is coming closer, the Briton is finding it hard to contain his emotions. Recently, in a video message, the Mercedes driver shared a few heartwarming words for Vettel. In the video clip, Lewis Hamilton revealed that he is hoping for a comeback from Vettel. Hamilton mentioned, \”I hope you come back. I hope you take one rest off and then realize you miss it and come back.\”

Vettel will be missed on the track, but Hamilton will be sticking in the F1 scene for a little longer.  The last race of the 2022 season at Abu Dhabi will be Sebastian Vettel\’s farewell race. So, it will be interesting to watch how the four-time world champion will say goodbye.

The German driver, now 35, has an illustrious 16-year F1 career. In these years, during which he has participated in 296 races, Vettel has amassed four driver\’s titles, 53 victories, 57 pole places, and 38 fastest laps. Statistics place him below Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton as one of the top three drivers in the world. Meanwhile, one thing that is certain is that Lewis Hamilton is not the only one hoping for Vettel\’s comeback. This is because thousands of fans all around the world also wish for the same.
