Ferrari Ace Accepts Lagging Drastically To Red Bull Star Max Verstappen! Hoping To Get Back In A Similar Position

Carlos Sainz, who debuted in the most royal team of Formula One, Scuderia Ferrari, two years ago, is experiencing the most difficult start of a season in his entire sports career in 2023. Like everyone else, he too is shocked to analyze the huge gap that Red Bull is maintaining in each coming race. The Austrian team won all three initial races; it is not a matter of surprise; what surprises us is to see that 9 to 15 seconds lead the Red Bull drivers are making with the one behind them.

Unfortunately, the SF-23, which was supposed to be one the strongest car on the track, is troubling enough not to let the Ferrari drivers even complete all the races. Currently, Charles Leclerc is at mere 6 points while Carlos Sainz is at 20 points only, 49 points behind Max Verstappen. How is it even possible to bridge this massive gap for Team Ferrari?

Ferrari Hopes To Get Back In A Similar Position As Last Year

Ferrari did not win last season too. But still, they started the season hot, winning three races consecutively same as Red Bull is doing this year. Given this, Carlos Sainz, who had quite a good experience with F1-75, started hoping that the new year would bring a better experience, but what he got? DISAPPOINTMENTS!

Now winning the championship is far away for Ferrari. With the P4. P6 and P12 in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and, Australian respectively, all that Carlos Sainz hopes aims for is “at least to find ourselves in a similar position [as 2022]“. The Spaniard is somehow very much frustrated with the fact that a team named Red Bull has just killed all the rival cars with their “SUPERIOR RB19.”

In an interview with ESPN.com, Carlos Sainz claimed that Red Bull indeed has a superior car over its rivals. He explained what was going on with the Scuderia. Speaking of Ferrari’s current performance, Sianz can sense that they are with Mercedes and not too far from Aston Martin in the race pace. But yes, they are almost on the backfoot when compared with the one superior team RED BULL. “The team that has nailed has put Ferrari in the backfoot,” he said.

Why Is Carlos Sainz Calling Red Bull Superior Over Ferrari?

Sainz is praising Red Bull because, from a driver’s perspective, he can clearly see that the rival team is doing more than expected in every field, In the Qualifying, in the free practice, in straight line speed, medium, low-speed corners, tyre management, bumps, and curbs, everywhere Red Bull managed to find the perfect take.

Nevertheless, given those compliments of Red Bull, one thing is very much clear for Ferrari they need to change things. Same as Mercedes did, same as Aston Martin did. “Ferrari needs to go and bring out something different that we did not have yet,” as per Sainz. The good thing is that Ferrari is now aware of the fact that they chose the wrong path. It has only been three races so far. Therefore, there is plenty of time for the Italian team to come up with game-changing upgrades, the same as Red Bull did in 2022. May history repeats itself with interchanged casts but.
