The New York Yankees and their woes with left field, a never-ending tale. The moment Andrew Benintendi departed from the Yanks, the club’s world turned upside down. Despite some strong starters, the Yankees roster looks incomplete. The hole in the left field is highly visible, and it has caused mayhem in the Bombers’ front office.

A few names crept in as potential trade interests of the Yankees. But no deals have been made so far. Moreover, the 2023 MLB season opening day is approaching at a flash speed. Hence, time is running out for the Bombers. Meanwhile, a fan decided to mess with the team’s dismay and posted a hilarious job posting online. On top of that, the post has gone viral and is being shared widely on social media.

The New York Yankees are heading to the opening day with a massive hole in the left field. They failed to sign a fresh face after the departure of Andrew Benintendi. Moreover, the team looked at various options in the free agent market but has hit a roadblock with the payroll issues. Hence, the club is unable to make any new sign-in. And to add to the misery, the Yanks are running out of luck in the trade window as well.

Meanwhile, someone decided to mess with the Yankees by pulling up a hilarious prank. Somebody posted a job opening on Indeed under New York Yankees’ name, stating the club needs a left fielder on an urgent basis. Moreover, the job is listed as a part-time job, and it promises to pay $15 per hour. Another internet user was quick to pick this up, and it is now being widely shared on social media. The MLB fans are in splits and poking fun at the Yankees for their situation. Check out the post below:

Bombers Still Looking Out For Options In The Market

Keeping the fun part aside, the New York Yankees are still playing hardball even as the opening day is closing in. The club wants to have one last shot before they close the roster. Furthermore, Jurickson Profar, David Peralta, Max Kepler, and Bryan Reynolds are the few names the Yanks are keeping a tab on. According to an insider, the Bombers are negotiating a deal with all four of them.

However, apart from Bryan, other acquisition looks unlikely as the Yankees have run out of cash. The club has already met the luxury tax threshold, and spending any dollar above that will lead to a heavy tax penalty. On the other hand, Bryan Reynolds, contracted with Pittsburgh Pirates, wants to opt-out. Hence, the Yankees got in touch with the Pirates, but their heavy ask has kept the Bombers in a fix, and that trade, too, looks unlikely to happen, at least for now. Lastly, Aaron Hicks will start at the left field for the Bronx Bombers until the issue resolves.
