Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo are two big names in the modern-day NBA. They have won championships and MVPs. Moreover, they are the most dependable players of their respective NBA teams. Steph obviously played the biggest role in making the Golden State Warriors a modern-day Dynasty. Moreover, the Greek Freak helped the Milwaukee Bucks become a top contender in the Eastern Conference in the last few seasons. Arguably enough, Giannis is the best player in the Eastern Conference. Albeit he has a tough competition in Joel Embiid in that category. Similarly, Stephen Curry has a tough competition with Nikola Jokic and LeBron James in regards to being the best player in the Western Conference.

Anyhow, in terms of teams, Nikola Jokic and Giannis Antetokounmpo are in a much better situation at present. On the other hand, Steph Curry and LeBron James are struggling as the LA Lakers and the Dubs are in 11th and 12th place, respectively, in the West. Moreover, the Golden State Warriors had a terrible start this season. They need help to maintain a winning streak. Anyhow, the recent game between the Bucks and the Warriors raised hopes for the Dub Nation. They saw Stephen Curry and Giannis Antetokounmpo share a bromance moment.

Clearly, the Warriors miss the presence of Kevin Durant in their rotation. They had never really been able to replace him. That’s why the fans went into overdrive when Steph and Giannis embraced each other after the Bucks-Dubs game. Recently, the Warriors lost to the Bucks 129-118. Last October, Giannis Antetokounmpo signed a three-year extension with the Bucks worth $186 million. Hence, it doesn’t seem likely the Greek Freak would leave the Bucks to join the Warriors. But the playing styles of Stephen Curry and the Greek star would fit perfectly alongside each other. If not for the Dubs, these stars can pair up again alongside each other for All-Star games.

For instance, the 2017 All-Star game saw Giannis and Steph share the floor together. But they played against each other that game, and Antetokounmpo’s vicious dunks stole the headlines. Later, in 2018, Stephen Curry chose Giannis for his 2018 team, and that’s when the bromance started between the two. But several netizens highlighted the selection, saying the Greek’s violent putback dunks made Curry select him for his All-Star West team in 2018. Later, in 2022, the All-Star game saw Giannis and Steph pairing up again. Curry scored 50 points, winning the All-Star MVP that year. Stephen Curry broke the existing record of Anthony Davis (48 points).

Those All-Star games gave a glimpse of what it would be like to see Giannis and Steph together. But for the time being, the fans have to find satisfaction in seeing them pair up once a year. However, the 29-year-old can be a good replacement for the absence of Kevin Durant in the Dubs lineup.

With Durant, the Warriors won back-to-back NBA championships in 2017 and 2018. Now, the Dubs are struggling really hard with an 18-21 record. They are on the verge of seeing their Dynasty collapse. Stephen Curry needs to find his best form back soon before it gets too late.
