That anonymous executive added that the Dubs can add him because he does not make a ton of money. Moreover, the Warriors can put Murray in the spot of Chris Paul. They may also have to give up two first-round picks. However, with Murray on the roster, the Western Conference Executive said that the seven-time champions will have some “Good defense and a pretty good scorer in there.” That’s why Dejounte Murray makes some sense to replace the Dubs talisman. Moreover, Murray is 6’5, who can guard three spots. He is not a bad shooter. But most importantly, Murray won’t break the bank of the GSW.
A top prospect who won’t break the bank for the Warriors is a big deal for the franchise. After all, the San Francisco-based team has one of the highest luxury tax bills in the NBA. Moreover, the Dubs franchise should not wait longer before they trade for Murray. If they can land him sooner, then Stephen Curry will be able to teach him a thing or two. Why Warriors Might Select Murray Over A Wing?
Looking at the current Warriors roster, the logical conclusion for the Dubs is to target a wing. The 2023-24 season has been horrible for the modern-day dynasty. In the play-in stage, the Sacramento Kings knocked the Golden State out of the competition. Moreover, the top stars of the team, besides Stephen Curry, did not live up to the expectations.
