He explained, “I just scored another podium for the team [at the 2016 Chinese Grand Prix], and then at the time, I also had a proposal to race for Ferrari to replace Kimi.” But the Russian chose Red Bull because he thought he was performing well for them. However, Red Bull was planning on a different game to bring Max Verstappen as their racer. And he won his debut race, sealing the decision as one of their best decisions.
