Cheer Up Lakers Fans! It’s Finally Time To See Anthony Davis Back On Court

Los Angeles Lakers survived a scare after winning against Memphis Grizzlies by a margin of just one point. The purple and gold stumbled in the middle two quarters yet managed to close the game in the final seconds. Surprisingly, Russell Westbrook overshadowed LeBron James by being the leading point scorer of the game for the Lakers. Russell scored 29, whereas James put up 23 points. Westbrook proved to be the perfect partner for LeBron James.

However, LeBron James’ best supporter from the other end of the court is Anthony Davis. AD’s absence in 2021 proved to be one of the prime reasons for the team’s debacle. Unfortunately, history is repeating itself. AD has again caught the injury bug and has been MIA since last month. However, a recent ESPN report will cheer up the Lakers fans big time. Apparently, Davis is going to ramp up the recovery process and might return to the court soon.

Anthony Davis Could Return Next Week!

Well, we all have seen the Lakers, especially LeBron James’ struggle at the other end in the absence of AD. Anthony Davis suffered from a stress foot fracture during a game against Denver Nuggets in December. Ever since the fans have been awaiting a single glimpse of the center forward. Several reports came in about his recovery. However, nobody could ever put up an exact date of his return. Some said he could return before the All-Star break, while others believed we might see him directly in April.

Meanwhile, ESPN’s Dave McMenamin is finally here with genuine positive news. According to Dave, Anthony Davis, along with the Lakers team management, has decided to ramp up the healing process of the athlete. Moreover, AD is conducting full-fledged training sessions on the court and feeling absolutely no pain whatsoever. Dave claims that AD is potentially just a week away from his return. That means we might see the center forward back on the court by the end of next week. That’ll give the purple and gold two weeks before the All-Star break to feature AD.

“Anthony Davis is potentially a week away from returning,” says Dave McMenamin.

What Could Davis’ Return Mean For The Lakers?

Well, Davis’ return will bring a major boost to the struggling Lakers lineup. For the Lakers, their superstar, LeBron James, has been delivering back-to-back 30+ point games. However, the reason for the failure in closing those games is the substantial support from the other end. Anthony Davis was that pal James missed. After his departure, the team has been in a complete mess. The young guys haven’t stepped up to the expectations.

Hence, AD’s return could finally mark a change a fate for the purple and gold, who are stationed 13th on the Western Conference points table. They need to give their hearts out in every single game from here on to stand a chance for the playoff berth. The All-break, as well as the trade deadlines, are approaching. Hence, we are in for some spice during the break. Stay Tuned!
