CHECKOUT: What Are The Yankees Expecting From Aaron Judge & Juan Soto To Do On The Opening Day?

The New York Yankees have been through a lot of ups and downs since the last season was over. Most importantly, they had to face a real trouble in their outfield and offense. After Aaron Judge hurt his toe last year, the NY side missed their captain for 35 games on the trot. As a result, the Bronx Bombers went on to lose a lot of games that cost them the last season. Hence, the 27-time champions faced a real lack of superstars when their captain had the freak accident at the Los Angeles fence. That’s the reason why the Yankees decided to bring in another superstar outfielder who can take a little load off the captain.

But now, as the NY side has added Juan Soto to their lineup, the outfield looks one of the most improved in terms of WAR. Moreover, they have added other quality lefty outfielders like Alex Verdugo and Trent Grisham. Now, like all other MLB teams, the Yankees are gearing up, too, for the spring training. And now all the fans wonder how nicely the lineup with Aaron Judge and Juan Soto will click on the opening day.

The fans expect the two great hitters in baseball to spin their magic wands. Moreover, the NY side is getting ready for the upcoming spring training. But the Yankees Nation is waiting to see the magic on the field that awaits with Juan Soto and Aaron Judge. Recently, The Athletic made a prediction that took social media by storm. They made a prediction on how the lineup of the Yankees will look like on the opening day. As per The Athletic, on the opening day of 2024, the Yankees will try to close the gap in their rotation. Hence, the prediction suggested that the NY side will move Juan Soto to the left field. They will pair the Dominican superstar with their captain in center field.

Anyway, the batting order can look a bit like this: DJ LeMahieu as the leadoff hitter, will lead the troop. The well-admired slugger will keep the Dominican superstar close. Hence, the second spot goes to Juan Soto. Then comes Aaron Judge in third place. The captain will hold the third position. Then comes Giancarlo Stanton as the designated hitter. As per the prediction, the Yankees will entertain a powerful offensive lineup that should create all sorts of problems for their opponents.

Will The Predicted Lineup Resemble The Final Setup?

There is a pretty good chance that the NY side will have a similar lineup on the opening day. Albeit, the NY Yankees have not confirmed anything yet. However, the Bronx Bombers would like to redeem themselves this year after the failure in 2023. Hence, this kind of offensive batting order is highly attractive. That’s what the fans want to see, and if the plan clicks, then the team can go as far as the World Series.

It has been a long time since the Yankees made it to the “Big Dance.” But they really have a good chance this year. Who knows which team will land Juan Soto at the end of the next offseason when he’ll be a free agent? Next year, the Yankees may not have a better rotation.
