Lately, the Orioles have leapfrogged Boone’s side to the top of the AL East. Moreover, Sunday’s game can be a pretty good wake-up call for the Yankees. They held a 5-3 lead at one point. But then, they just gave it away to the division toppers.
Bronx Bombers Are Still In A Better Position Than 2023
Currently, the Yankees are 58-40. Hence, their position is still quite solid, and they even hold the first Wild Card spot. They should believe that they can make the postseason this year. Last season, they missed out with an awful 82-80 record. But this year, the NY side has one of the most talented rosters playing as long as in October.
However, this team needs to get back to winning ways and start playing like the way they started in 2024 if they want to win their 28th World Series. They must avoid any more injury issues and find the right combination. Moreover, the manager and the fans in general still have faith in the Bombers.
