Thompson explained why he feels good about leaving the only team he has played for so long in the NBA. Moreover, the veteran shooting guard mentioned, “Change can spur greatness and can do wonders.” Adding to that, the sharpshooter noted that this theory is applicable not just for basketball but also for anyone working in the corporate world and even elsewhere. Then, he had some time to reflect and finally, Klay realized that nobody can take the legendary achievements he had with the GSW away from him. He said, “Records are made to be broken but the impact on the community and all those things will live forever.” Hence, Thompson felt to do what’s right, “Breakups are necessary sometimes.” Finally, he said that he feels super excited to play for a new city and will embrace the opportunity.
