Mikel Arteta\’s side suffered a huge setback during the 2021-22 Premier League season\’s final stages. Arsenal conceded a fourth place to Tottenham after losing two consecutive matches to the Spurs and Newcastle United. The north London club also missed out on an opportunity to finally play the Champions League after coming so close. Thus, a disappointing end last season has resulted in a lot of activity from Arsenal this summer.

The Gunners manager Arteta and technical director Edu have spent over £100m during the transfer window to acquire key players. After the exit of some key players from the Emirates club this summer, Arsenal acquired Fabio Vieira, Marquinhos, Matt Turner, and Oleksandr Zinchenko. However, their biggest signing this summer has been Manchester City\’s star forward, Gabriel Jesus.

However, despite all the transfers, the Gunners are not done yet, with only a few days left before the August 2 transfer deadline. There are a number of players that Arsenal is still eyeing in hopes of getting a few deals their way before the deadline. So, let\’s take a look at all the players the Gunners are interested in.

Arsenal has been linked with West Ham\’s forward, Jarrod Bowen. However, as per football analyst Ben Jacobs. West Ham is hell-bent on their stance that they have no interest in selling Bowen, despite a number of clubs expressing their interest. Thus, the Gunners would have to convince West Ham to sell if they really want him on their squad. Several reports have suggested that there is a lot of excitement about Jarros at clubs like Arsenal. However, it is all hypothetical, with West Ham remaining firm on their stance.

Cody Gakpo

The Gunners have been reported to be interested in PSV midfielder Cody Gakpo. Moreover, PSV has allegedly demanded £38m for the Dutchman. As per Fabrizio Romano, despite speculations about Arsenal\’s interest, the two clubs are quite far from making a deal. The 23-year-old had also been linked with Leeds United, with Luis Sinisterra being the football club\’s priority.

The young winger has impressed many clubs as he scored the winning goal for PSV in the 2022 KNVB Cup Final. He has also made seven international appearances for the Netherlands and scored twice. The club plans on keeping Gakpo, and his price tag has been set at around £33.5m to £38m.

Bayern Munich\’s Leroy Sane has also been on Edu\’s transfer targets list. As per sports journalist Ryan Taylor, the German player\’s quality will generate Arsenal\’s interest. Sane is a world-class player when in form and has already proved his worth in the Premier League. Taylor added, \”So I do think he\’s the kind od player they\’ll be looking at. But nothing concrete at the moment as far as I\’m aware.\”
