Anthony Davis Wants To Keep The Fire Burning, Not Satisfied With Lakers Game 6 Win

The Los Angeles Lakers knocked out the Memphis Grizzlies from the first round of playoffs after registering a commanding victory in Game 6. The squad displayed quality defense to keep the Grizzlies’ tally below 100 and took the game with a scoreline of 125-85. D’Angelo Russell and LeBron James remained the top scorers with 31 and 22 points, respectively. However, it was Anthony Davis who stole the show.

The forward was on a complete rampage and foiled every attempt at a comeback from the Grizzlies. With a little bit of trash talk, AD was the difference between the Lakers and the Grizzlies on Friday night. Now, the purple and gold will face the winner of the ongoing series between Golden State Warriors and Sacramento Kings in the second round of playoffs. Meanwhile, Davis is not at all satisfied with the recent win and urged his teammates to keep the fire burning.

The LA Lakers made sure they did not stretch the first-round series against Memphis Grizzlies to Game 7 as they sealed their next-round berth in Game 6 itself. The team played heavily on defense as they blocked some heavy shots from the Grizzlies. Despite a thumping win, Lakers star Anthony Davis apparently is not satisfied just yet. After the game, he said the team had fun fighting with the Grizzlies, but their job was not done yet. They have a second round coming up, and he urged his teammates to keep the fire burning.

Moreover, Anthony Davis added that he did not want to over-stretch the series into Game 7 as he did want to travel all the way to Memphis for just one game. Overall, he is happy with the win but is aware of the fact that the team still has a long way to go. Davis has been a key player for the Lakers throughout the playoffs, averaging 26.7 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. However, apart from his scoring abilities, it’s his defense that has helped the Lakers the most. Last night displayed how much AD contributes to the team’s success. The fans would hope the forward continues his form as the Lakers advance further in the quest for a championship.

AD Gives A Befitting Reply To Grizzlies In Their Style

Anthony Davis enjoyed every second of Game 6 against the Memphis Grizzlies. The Lakers dominated through the entire four quarters and sealed their berth in the next round. Meanwhile, AD was in a different mood altogether. He gave a befitting reply to the Grizzlies in a language they under the best, trash talk. When the camera pointed toward AD, he was heard saying, “Ain’t no fun when the rabbit got the gun.”

AD hit the Grizzlies, where it hurts the most. The Grizzlies have been trash-talking even before the playoff series commenced. All this while, neither Anthony Davis nor the rest of the Lakers squad responded to the things that were being said. However, as the series embarked on its final stage, Davis thought of it as the perfect opportunity to shut down the Grizzlies and teach them a valuable lesson.
