Anthony Davis Reportedly Escorted Through Wheelchair After Suffering Head Injury In Game 5

Anthony Davis has been the pillar of the Los Angeles Lakers since the middle of the regular season. He led the side to a remarkable turnaround after a horrible start to the season. The Lakers needed AD to guide them through to the postseason after LeBron James sustained a tendon injury in his right foot. James hurt his feet in the game against the Mavericks and stayed out for almost a month.

Furthermore, it was almost at the fag end of the regular season, and Anthony Davis was at the top of his game. However, the whole team came together to take the Lakers to the postseason after missing out on the previous season. The seventeen-time champions really worked hard to get themselves through to the playoffs. But there is a new injury concern on Anthony Davis, who has been an injury risk throughout the season.

Moreover, in the first half of the season last December, AD suffered a stress injury and missed twenty games on the trot. Furthermore, even when he returned to the squad Coach Darvin Ham said that Anthony Davis was not totally fit. And he would miss a few back-to-back games so that AD does not put too much pressure on his feet. AD has not managed to play for the whole 48 minutes in any game yet. However, now Anthony Davis might have suffered a concussion in Game 5. The eight-time All-Star tried to get a rebound in the fourth quarter when Kevon Looney’s elbow hurt him. Furthermore, AD had to leave the game in the middle of the fourth quarter.

According to Chris Haynes of TNT, apparently, he had to escort out of the Chase Center in a wheelchair. This injury scare is just raising fear among the Lakers fan if AD will make it to the next game. However, Coach Ham mentioned, “AD is doing better already.” LeBron James pointed out that the medical team is working on Anthony Davis. Also, what matters the most is that AD is doing better. However, the fans are very tense about if Anthony Davis will play the rest of the series. Austin Reaves replied to that, saying, “I believe AD will play.” Well, if he doesn’t, then the Warriors will have a better chance to level the series and put more pressure on the LA side for Game 7 back to Chase Center. Anthony Davis scored 23 points in Game 5 for a losing cause before he got injured.

Albeit, the Lakers did not finish among the top six teams. But Anthony Davis guided the team from the play-in round and have now reached the second round of the playoffs. The Lakers are still leading the series against the defending champions 3-2.

However, after winning Game 4, the Lakers had a better chance to seal the series in Game 5. But the Warriors came back pretty strong. However, the Lakers have an excellent opportunity to beat the Warriors in Game 6 at the Crypto.com arena.
