The Yankees are eager to have Judge back. However, the Giants are also willing to pay whatever is necessary to have the slugger on their team. The Yankees, Giants, and other teams, including the Dodgers, might enter a bidding war. And this would be good news for the free agent poised to sign a record contract. The Giants appear to be doing everything they can at this point, regardless of what happens. Even if that means adding several players rather than just one big name.
