Aaron Judge-led New York Yankees have been on fire this MLB season courtesy of a well-balanced and injury-free roster. While Judge has rediscovered the form of his life, his teammates Giancarlo Stanton and Juan Soto haven’t been left behind at all. The trio is stacking up video game numbers together.

That being said, after losing a series at home against LA Dodgers, the New York Yankees went on a road trip to face the Kansas City Royals. Ahead of Game 2 on Tuesday, Giancarlo Stanton shared a joke about the ballpark with Aaron Judge that soon turned into a reality.

As the New York Yankees landed in Kansas City for a four-game series versus the Royals, captain Aaron Judge, along with Giancarlo Stanton and Anthony Rizzo, were rested for the series opener due to travel fatigue. However, the in-form hitting lineup broke the floodgates in Game 2 held on Tuesday.

Coming into the game, Stanton apparently told Judge that one spot he had been targeting at the Kauffman Stadium was dead center and that he would love to hit a home run there. While the pregame conversation was just a joke, little did the captain know that Stanton would turn that dream into reality. In a mega 10-1 win, Judge got the scoreboard ticking with an RBI single in the first inning.

Aaron Judge added to the lead with a two-run home run in the top of the seventh innings before Giancarlo Stanton fed on the momentum to slam a 446-foot solo shot over the center-field wall. The Yankees captain was stunned as he revealed in a post-game interview how Stanton kind of manifested his solo home run. “He was joking with us pregame, saying this is the one spot he hasn’t gone dead center. He kind of called his shot,” Judge said. That being said, Yanks rallied City Royals with a total of 10 RBIs, including three home runs combined from Judge, Stanton, and Austin Wells. It turned out to be a dream night for the Bombers as they went 2-0 up in the four-game series with an overall record of 48-21 in AL-East. The series will resume at Kauffman Stadium on Wednesday as Kansas will try to avoid a series defeat.

The New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge has gone mental on the plate since the first week of May. After an extraordinary month of May, Judge’s onslaught entered June as well. In the recent series game against Kanas City Royals, the slugger slammed his 25th home run of the season and extended his lead in the league’s highest home run tally.

Aaron Judge is leading MLB in most home runs this year with 25 moonshots to his name. Gunnar Henderson is second on the list with 21 home runs so far. Judge is leading by a significant margin and is currently on pace to hit 59 homers by the end of the year, which is just 3 short of his all-time high league record.
